I'm enjoying this a lot. It's rather Dickensian -- and for me that means good.

A unique story. The details were relentlessly grotesque, and it got to me. A parade of severed body parts and corpses. I appreciated the writing, which kept me going, but it was not my thing.
about 1 month agoA great read, although I probably would have liked it still more had I not been reading the magnificent Breath (by Tim Winton) at the same time. The perils of juggling multiple books at once. Still--Hannah Tinti is a marvelous writer, and I do love books set in the Victorian era, and Ren is a very appealing main character. Highly recommended.
